While I was in Tanzania, a friend of mine who was working for the World Food Program asked me if I could help out with developing a TV show they were collaborating on with Wayfarer Productions. They were looking for someone to travel around Tanzania to find stories and people who could teach celebrity chef Curtis Stone and his wife Lindsay Price about how people eat and where they get their food.
I helped scout locations and build relationships with members of three tribes, the Hazabe (hunters & gatherers), the Irawq (subsistence farmers) and the Maasai (pastoralists). Once we had the people to visit, I assisted with production management on location.
Have a look at the beautiful trailer for the pilot episode.
